Partners — SourceLoop

A digital product passport for coffee.

SourceLoop is the traceability layer behind Origin Collective. Every lot we roast is tied to a geolocated fingerprint of the bean and an unbiased Kaldi Score — independent grading you can verify, not a marketing claim.

How SourceLoop works.

SourceLoop captures origin data at the farm and follows it through export, roasting and the cup. The result is a verifiable passport for every batch — no rebranding, no broken chains of custody.

Geolocated at origin

Each lot is registered at the farm with a precise location, producer details, harvest window and processing method.

Bean-level fingerprint

A digital fingerprint travels with the coffee from washing station to roastery, so what arrives can be matched back to what was picked.

Unbiased Kaldi Score

Quality is graded independently with the Kaldi Score — a transparent, AI-assisted evaluation that sits outside buyer–seller incentives.

Pilot — Uganda

SourceLoop × Kaldi AI × Volcafe.

SourceLoop is currently running a pilot project in Uganda together with Kaldi AI and Volcafe.

The pilot connects smallholder farms in Uganda to the SourceLoop passport at the point of collection. Kaldi AI provides the independent grading layer — the Kaldi Score — directly at origin, while Volcafe brings the supply-chain infrastructure to move graded, traceable lots from washing station to importer without losing identity.

For Origin Collective, this is what makes the model repeatable. Java today, Uganda next, and a framework that any specialty roaster can plug into without rebuilding traceability from scratch.
